Work in Glass
Since my great friend Harue works with glass it's easier to try my hand at glass work. It reminded me of my experiences in foundry work: hot, laborious, dirty.

Getting Ready for an Exhibit in Portland
I have been making work for a group exhibition, Unrequited Love, with two other people: Lisa Sikorski and Devon Simpson. While unrequited love and heartbreak are subjects I am well-versed in, I feel reluctant to indulge because I am much more inclined to make work about love/sticky things these days. Indeed who has not had their heart broken? I find I am contemplating, instead, things that define relationships (sour them or make them a challenge). Contemplations on jealousy, violence, commitment, infidelity and acceptance are couched into very formal book-related structures.
